Wal*Mart makes healthy food push, alienates monstrously fat trailer trash that frequents their stores

Despite the droves of people who patron Wal*Mart stores from coast to coast, the company is betting that it can turn a profit on selling more quantities of healthy food.  From NPR:

Walmart intends to lower its prices for more healthful options, abolishing a premium it has charged for some products that contain whole wheat or reduced sugar or salt. The company says it will also work with health groups to add seals of approval on branded products that meet new standards such as 25 percent less salt.

Given how fat United States is currently, and how fat it just might become, this could help slow the growth of America’s collective waistline.
